On May 17, 2016 Antika Law Firm held a business breakfast on the topic “How the corporate legislation of Ukraine changed since May 1, 2016”.

Partners of Antika Law Firm Alexey Kot and Alexander Burtovoy and counsel Sergii Korniienko acted as the speakers at the business breakfast.

Business breakfast was devoted to reviewing the innovations of corporate legislation, which came into force on 1 May 2016, and their impact on the activities of public joint stock companies and joint stock companies with state share more than 50%.

Among the main issues there were discussed: establishment of special requirements to the formation and work of the supervisory board of a public joint stock company, introduction of the institute of “independent directors”, creation of the institute of “derivative suit”.

Antika’s experts provided the participants of the business breakfast with practical advice on how to adapt joint-stock companies to the new conditions and how to use the changes in the law for improvement of corporate governance.
