Partner of Antika Law Firm, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Bar Association Energy, Oil and Gas Committee, Member of the Public Council of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Alexander Burtovoy participated in the working meeting on discussing UNDP/GEF project “Removing barriers to attract investments in the energy efficiency of public buildings”
On September 23, 2014 in Kiev the working meeting on discussing UNDP/GEF project “Removing barriers to attract investments in the energy efficiency of public buildings” was held.
The project is supposed to develop and to implement the best practices in the energy efficiency of existing public buildings in Ukraine, as well as to facilitate the identification and removal of existing barriers of investments in the energy efficiency of such buildings.
Understanding the importance of the project the participants discussed a number of problems the solution of which should help to implement it successfully. In particular, they presented an overview of the current situation in Ukraine in the field of energy efficiency, reviewed the technical problems of the public buildings and tried to find their solutions. During the meeting the participants also discussed legal and institutional factors that prevent the investments inflow.
