On February 6, 2013 in Kiev the annual event of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development took place. EBRD Senior Economist for Eastern Europe, Alex Pivovarsky presented a Transition report called “Integration Across the Borders”. Brief survey on the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan as an example of regional economic integration and perspectives for Ukraine, separate aspects of CIS free-trade agreement as well as the relevancy of the European Banking Union and its impact on the EBRD region were outlined in the report.

The event was attended by the EBRD Vice President Betsy Nelson, who made a report on risk trends in the region as well as their impact on Ukraine and the prospects for further cooperation between Ukraine and the EBRD; and EBRD Director in Ukraine Andre Kuusvek who made brief presentation of the EBRD investments in previous year and talked about prospects and conditions for continued cooperation in 2013.
