On December 16, 2013 the regular meeting of the first and the second sections of the chambers of the Scientific and Advisory Council of the Higher Economic Court of Ukraine took place in order to discuss issues related to application of legislation on environmental protection.

The main issues on agenda were ones related to the court jurisdiction on allocation of funds that are recovered as compensation of damages caused to the government at the result of legislation on environmental protection violation, as well as application of provisions of Article 34 of the Law of Ukraine “On Air Protection” in terms of lack of special law to determine the procedure and size of recovery of damages caused by legislation on environmental protection violation.
