Antika Law Firm jointly with International Resources Group within the framework of the USAID Municipal Heating Reform Project in Ukraine ran a training seminar on financing energy savings projects
The training seminar on financing energy savings projects with the use of Energy Performance Contracts was run on February 10, 2012 in the Rus Hotel.
The seminar was organized and given by Antika Law Firm jointly with International Resources Group within the framework of the USAID Municipal Heating Reform Project in Ukraine.
Alexey Kot, managing partner of Antika Law Firm, Alexander Burtovoy, associated partner of Antika Law Firm, Nataliya Gaidai, the lawyer of Antika Law Firm made speeches during the seminar. The speakers highlighted issues of legal regulation of energy savings, standard procedures of energy savings projects and the specific features of their development and implementation, EPC models and types, the problems of using EPC in the public sector, their implementation in the communal enterprises and in the co-owners’ associations of multi-apartment buildings. Besides mechanisms of public-private partnership, joint activity agreements and concessions were outlined.
The experts of the USAID project, representatives of local authorities, as well as ESCOs’ representatives from Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk, Lutsk, Kherson and Kharkov participated in the seminar.
