On November 6-9, 2012 the IV International Investment Business Forum on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy organized by the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving with the support of the European Delegation to Ukraine took place.

Within the framework of the workshop «Energy efficient projects in the municipal sphere – from project planning to profit earning. Experience of ESCO companies» issues related to the existing barriers that arise when energy efficiency projects are invested in, as well as ways to find a compromise with the local authority were discussed.

The workshop was attended by representatives from public authorities, including the National Commission that carries out state regulation of public utilities, as well as representatives from ESCO companies. Petra Lackner, a representative of the Austrian Energy Agency, and Anders Lund, Director of the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership took part from side of European partners.
