On February 25, 2013 in the premises of State Geological Service of Ukraine the Canada-Ukraine Oil & Gas Opportunities Workshop took place.

Representatives of the Ukrainian delegation made presentations on the following topics: “Overview of the Ukrainian Oil & Gas and Shale Gas Market Opportunities” “Ukrainian Market of Well Services Equipment: Opportunities for Canadian Companies” “Oil and Gas Production Operations by Poltava Petroleum Company LLC – Leading Private Producer in Ukraine”. In addition, the overview of current projects of NAK Nadra Ukrainy, NJSC NaftoGas of Ukraine, and State Enterprise UkrGazydobuvannya were performed.

The Canadian delegation gave to attention of the workshop participants presentations on approaches of unconventional energy resources, well services, as well as presentations of such companies as “ATCO”, “Code Expert”, “Hyduke Energy Services”, “Global Energy Management”, “CCI Thermal Technologies”, “Iskander Energy Corporation”, “Questor Technology Inc.”, “Sage Energy”, “Foster Wheeler”, “Shelton Petroleum”.

The workshop was attended by Minister of Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleg Proskuryakov, Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine on Geology and Subsoil Use Valeriy Dudinov, Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine H.E. Troy Lulashnyk and representatives of Ukrainian and Canadian business.
