On March 5, 2013 in Kiev a roundtable meeting “Reforming Ukrainian electricity market” was organized by the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine) within GREENERGY Initiative project with support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The key issue to discuss was the draft Law of Ukraine “On Main Aspects of Electricity Market Functioning in Ukraine” and the possibility to create organizational, legal and economic basis for liberalized electricity market functioning in Ukraine, as well as favorable conditions for investments and development of this field.

The meeting was attended by the representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, National Commission for State Regulation in the Sphere of Energy (NERC), Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation, NPC “UKRENERGO”, experts and business representatives.
