On April 9, 2013 at the Press Center “LigaBusinessInform” a round table meeting “Problems related to mortgagees’ rights protection” took place.

The organizers invited representatives of the banking sector, lawyers, representatives of industry associations and public authorities, real estate appraisers and auditors in order to discuss the obstacles related to enforcement of the right on foreclosure on the mortgaged property and ways to overcome them in the context of judicial practice, difficulties of mortgaged property enforcement in the enforcement proceedings.

During the event the speakers outlined problems that lenders faced in foreclosure on the mortgage property, suggested the ways to protect the mortgagees’ rights from bad borrowers effectively, as well as discussed the alternative for trading in the enforcement proceedings, its possible benefits and risks.
