On October 3-4, 2013 at the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University an international scientific and practical conference «Issues of Сivil, Family and Private International Law (Matvyeyevski civil readings) » took place. The conference was organized by the Department of Civil Law within the framework of annual scientific events dedicated to the memory of professors Gennadiy Matvyeyev and Yuriy Matvyeyev.

The conference brought together the leading scientists – representatives from almost all Ukrainian schools of civil jurisprudence of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Lviv as well as notaries and practicing lawyers.

The speakers raised the most important and topical issues in the field of the civil law, the law of obligations, regulation of personal non-property relations and intellectual property rights.
