Antika Law Firm acted as a legal adviser of Imperial Tobacco Ukraine related to labor rights issues due to employee dismissal, as well as represented company’s interests in labor dispute.

The ground for illegal dismissal which the former employee found was the violation of rights of the pregnant woman wherefore the case caused public outcry. However, during court proceedings the company managed to deny all prosecutions as well as to prove their decision related to labor contract termination to be legal and reasonable.

In the decision as of March 19, 2013, the Holosiivsky District Court of Kiev City rejected the claim of the employee to be re-employed. The court of appeal and court of cassation upheld this decision.
