On November 26, 2013 the regular meeting of the Legal Committee of the Public Council of the AMCU took place. The members of the committee introduced their comments and suggestions related to the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amending the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition” concerning provision of evidence in cases being considered by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine”.

The main comments to the draft Law addressed issues of admission of the case by the AMCU, AMCU’s refusal to consider case, as well as challenging such refusal in the court. Also, the suggestions related to access procedure of persons that enjoy such a right to study case materials, access procedure to data that constitute a banking secret as well as to data on electronic media, fixation procedure of websites screenshots to use such data as evidence and others were introduced.
