The main points of Alexey Kot speech are the following:

– the justice system reform should be performed simultaneously with other reforms in several steps including amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine;

– instead of arranging competition to define the best draft law in the justice system reform it is necessary to reach a consensus that include establishing effective mechanism to deliver justice;

– liquidation of specialized judicial proceedings (in particular, economic courts) shall not help to build trust to judicial power. Taking into account the day-to-day realities this could have a negative influence on litigation related to economic activities;

– a recipe to success of justice system reform implementation is to gain trust of lawyers and society to individuals and authorities that shall provide justice system reforms and control over its quality.
