Managing Partner of Antika Law Firm, member of the Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Alexey Kot took part in the roundtable “Development of transparent relationship of the AMCU and business: ensuring the principles of transparency and foreseeability”

Arranged by the Competition Development Foundation with the support of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine the roundtable “Development of transparent relationship of the AMCU and business: ensuring the principles of transparency and foreseeability” was held on September 9, 2015.
The roundtable participants discussed the mechanisms assuring the foreseeability and transparency of the AMCU operations: the legal status of the document, which will determine the approaches to the application of penalties for violation of competition law; the expediency and propriety of application of penalties, the effect of aggravating and mitigating circumstances on their size; establishment of clear internal rules for handling of confidential information, its zone of confidence etc.

The event was held with the participation of the Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Yuriy Terentiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Mariya Nizhnik, the State Commissioners of the Committee Anna Artemenko and Svetlana Panaiotidi, members of Parliament of Ukraine Viktoriia Ptashnik and Leonid Kozachenko as well as international experts on the protection of competition, in particular, Chris Kirby (European Commission), Russell Damtoft (Federal Trade Commission (USA)), Piotr Adamchevski (Competition Authority of Poland), Silvere Leferv (General Court of the European Union), Dimitar Iliev (Competition Authority of Bulgaria), the members of the Expert Council of the Competition Development Fund Hassan Qaqaya, Alexander Melnychenko and Sergiy Tsivkach, representatives of business, leading law firms and the mass media.
