Managing Partner of Antika Law Firm, Doctor of Law Alexey Kot spoke at the round table “Results of the application of the new arbitration law: achievements and challenges”, which was held on March 1 at the Kiev regional center of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine.
In his speech, Aleksey Kot noted the need for an active implementation the pro-arbitrage approach provided by the new procedural legislation.
The round table was organized by the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine (ІСАС), the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine with the support of the Supreme Court.
The key issues which discussed during the event were:·
- New legal opinions of the Supreme Court on arbitration;
- Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine “On International Commercial Arbitration” as an effective tool to counter the beginning of parallel processes;
- The implementation of new procedural legislation as a pledge of effective arbitration in Ukraine.
Judges of the Supreme Court, representatives of ІСАС, Kiev regional center of National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine, scientists, lawyers joined the discussion of the round table questions.
