Antika Law Firm advises AWT Bavaria on issues of business restructuring and construction of objects of commercial purpose

AWT Bavaria, the official importer of BMW and MINI in Ukraine, is implementing the project on business restructuring. The main purpose of the project is to establish modern and the most effective management system, as well as to increase corporate security and comfort in client servicing by commissioning new administrative, sales and technical capacities, as well as by distinct business structuring into specific areas,  establishing protected structure of assets, etc. Full legal support is provided by Antika Law Firm.

In order to ensure maximum effectiveness of performance under the project Antika Law Firm (the Firm) created independent working groups of lawyers of different fields of specialization.

A group led by the partner Andrey Kuznetsov worked on corporate, tax, labour and other aspects of the project. During the concept development of the Client’s business restructuring and strategic planning of its implementation partners Alexander Burtovoy and Sergii Korniienko were engaged. Sergii Korniienko at the stage of implementation also was responsible for work in corporate law, receiving all necessary permitting documents, etc. Senior associate Alexandra Fedorenko focused her work on labour and tax issues of the project on the Client’s business restructuring.

It is worth mentioning that one of the outstanding elements of the project was successful completion and commissioning of the importer center, first start-up complex of first stage development, in Boryspil district of Kyiv region, as well as the acquisition of the right of ownership on the completed object by the asset management company which belongs to the Client’s group of companies. New importer center meets all corporate standards and requirements of vehicles producers and will be the largest platform for exhibition, sale and original technical maintenance of BMW, Rolls Royce and MINI on the territory of Ukraine. A team of lawyers, among them: senior associates Vasyl Sheretko, Alexander Tretiakov and associate Inna Koval, led and managed by the partner Alexander Burtovoy, were engaged in the fulfillment of this task. The grand opening of the facility was held on 31 August 2017.

The managing partner of the Firm Alexey Kot performed general supervision and coordination of the work of groups within this project.
